INGREDIENTS
  • 400 gr. of flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 50 gr. of butter or lard
  • 50 gr. of sugar
  • 1/2 grated lemon rind
  • 1 pich of salt 1 1/2 glass of rum
  • 1 little bag of baking-powder
 
Carnival sweet pellets

Generally prepared at Carnivaltime,they are one of the most popular sweets in all Romagna.Mix into
dough 400 gr. of flour,2 eggs,150 gr. of sugar 50 gr. of butter or lard,1/2 grated lemon rind,1/2
glass of rum(or white wine),1 little bag of baking-powder and a pich of salt.Knead the mixture well and divide it into rather small balls.Fry them in abundant hot lard,turning them over continuosly.
Drain them of oil an absorbant paper and dust sugar over.
